Abigail Hing Wen’s novel Loveboat, Taipei is about four bright young Asian Americans who attend a summer program in Taiwan called Loveboat. Despite the name, there is no boat involved, but there is some romance! Ever, the main character, shares a similar background with the author. In America, Ever had to deal with her parents’ many rules. In Taiwan, she is given almost complete freedom, which gives her the opportunity to discover her identity.

邢立美的小說《愛之船，臺北》是有關四位聰穎的美籍亞裔青年，他們參加了在臺灣被稱為愛之船的夏令營。儘管這個活動的名稱為愛之船，它卻跟船沒有關係，不過倒是有些戀情！書中的主角伊薇跟作者有著相似的背景。身處美國時，伊薇得應對父母許多的規範。但在臺灣，她卻幾乎被給予了完全的自由，而這給了她機會來探索對自我的認同。
